The Tubele Balamu Health Camp, organized in partnership with
the Kabaka Foundation at Singo County Stadium, proved to be a significant
milestone in our ongoing efforts to provide vital health services to the community.
The health camp was designed to offer comprehensive liver
disease screening, with a particular emphasis on Hepatitis B. The Liver Health
Foundation\'s laboratory team was on-site to conduct a series of tests aimed at
early detection and intervention for liver-related conditions.
✅ A total of 43 Hepatitis B tests
were performed.
✅ Out of these, 3 cases tested
positive for Hepatitis B while 40 cases were non-reactive.
✅ In addition to Hepatitis B,
tests for other liver-related diseases were conducted, further reinforcing the
event\'s role in early disease detection and awareness.
While the event encountered some logistical
hurdles—specifically, difficulties in directing participants to the respective
healthcare tents—the overall impact was overwhelmingly positive. The detection
of positive cases highlights the critical importance of such community-based
health camps in combating liver diseases through early screening and education.
The Kabaka Foundation and Liver Health Foundation are deeply
committed to continuing this work. By organizing similar events in the future,
we aim to extend our outreach further into underserved communities, ensuring
that everyone has access to essential liver health services and the necessary
information to protect their well-being.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the volunteers,
participants, and all supporters who contributed to the success of the Tubele
Balamu Health Camp. Your dedication and collaboration are instrumental in our
mission to enhance liver health across Uganda.
