Major Awareness Campaigns

Our awareness campaigns are central to our mission of educating communities about liver health, preventing liver diseases, and promoting early detection. Through targeted outreach and education efforts, we strive to empower individuals with the knowledge and resources needed to maintain healthy livers and seek timely medical care.

Liver Health WILD Campaign

This is the primary health campaign on Liver Health Foundation’s calendar, featuring a series of events, including health dinners, health runs, health seminars, health camps, and health sports galas. All events are aimed at promoting liver health through awareness, prevention, improved care, and support.

Health Walk for Your Liver

The "Walk for Your Liver" Campaign is a charity event established to raise funds for liver disease patients at Mulago Hospital. Walking is an often-overlooked exercise with many health benefits, including improved stamina, calorie burning, and better liver health. It’s also beneficial for mental health by releasing mood-boosting endorphins, which help reduce stress and anxiety. Participants have the chance to socialize and build friendships along the way. Celebrated on every 28^th of July (World Hepatitis Day)

All For Love Charity Event

Every 30^th November, this date is designated by the Liver Health Technical Committee for continuing liver cancer awareness across the country. The Liver Cancer Awareness Campaign, titled “All For Love,” aligns with the goals of the World Liver Cancer Day, focusing on significantly reducing illness and mortality from liver cancer. This awareness campaign is celebrated nationwide.

Liver Cancer Awareness

Every October 9th, observed as Cancer Awareness Month globally, provides a unique opportunity to raise awareness about liver cancer in alignment with Uganda’s Independence Day celebrations. Activities will take place in settings for school-going children, from primary to secondary levels, featuring music, dance, drama (MDD), and various sports events.
